Researcher, builder, and perpetual student — somewhere between data and discovery.
I'm Zibryn (Zhibin) Wang, a data science undergraduate at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU, 4+0 dual-degree with the University of Liverpool, Class of 2027). My research sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence and biomedicine — from single-cell foundation models to medical image segmentation, from computational chemistry to multimodal clinical AI.
I've had the privilege of working with NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Tsinghua SIGS (Prof. Peiwu Qin's group), and HKUST(GZ) SIIE Lab; the ImmuneWorld project is a collaboration with the Beijing Institute of Technology School of Medical Technology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University, and Fudan Huashan Hospital. Papers published / under review / in preparation span Nature Communications, Cyborg and Bionic Systems, Advanced Materials, and CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians (in preparation).
Beyond the lab, I'm a co-founder of a tech startup, a traveler who's explored 8+ countries across Asia and Europe, and someone who believes the best research comes from staying curious about everything — and an undergraduate preparing to apply for US MS (with thesis) programs in Fall 2027 / Spring 2028.
Goal: US MS with thesis (Fall 2027 / Spring 2028 entry), focused on Biomedical AI / Health Data Science / Biomedical Engineering, with a long-term aim of a PhD.
Target schools: Dartmouth, UT Austin, UCSD, and other Master's / PhD programmes with strong RA / TA support.
Currently preparing: TOEFL ~110 (Summer 2026) · GRE ~328 (at home) · 4 letters of recommendation (Class-A hospital attending physician, NUS PhD, XJTLU associate professor).
